Stan Wawrinka was honored with the Sports Personality of the Year award in Switzerland and Serena Williams was selected as Sports Illustrated’s 2015 Sportsperson of the Year. Stan Wawrinka was chosen over compatriot Roger Federer as the Sports Personality of the Year in Switzerland. Wawrinka won four tournaments in 2015, Paris included, defeating Novak Djokovic in a thrilling final. Serena Williams, who won three grand slams tournaments in 2015, was presented with Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year award on Tuesday, December 15th in New York City wearing Audemars Piguet’s stunning Millenary. The timepiece disrupts traditional ideas of women’s watch design and displays a true desire to break the rules, technically and creatively.
