The Bamford B347 Pilot Sport is an exciting collaboration between Bamford and Michelin, the well known tire company. Housed within the carbon fiber case is a black and white dial that features a checkered tachymeter design, date window at 6 o'clock, and two subdials. A single push button located at 2 o'clock provides the start-stop-reset function of the watch. Michelin's signature yellow is seen on the seconds hand and subdial hands, while it can also be seen sprinkled through the black rubber strap. The strap is made using recycle Michelin Pilot Sport 5 test tires, specifically from a 225/40 ZR18 version. This size tire would be used on cars like the retro BMW E36 and the Lotus Evora. Adding to the special elements of this timepiece, the caseback features a heritage ‘race winner’ Michelin Man, which is typically reserved for Michelin’s own use. This unique watch is limited to 133 pieces to represent each year since Michelin was founded in 1889.
