Earlier this year, we brought you the news that Ulysse Nardin is the Official Partner of Artemis Racing Team as it ventures on its quest to become a challenger for the 35th America's Cup slated to take place in 2017 in Bermuda. This past weekend, the brand was present in Bermuda as six teams raced in the third Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event, which culminated in a win for Artemis Racing Team.
These World Series races not only serve as critical practice for the teams, but also helps place them along the way. Each team accrues points for performance and in the end, the points are added and rankings assigned. Artemis Racing earned 52 points in the three races this weekend -- giving the team a 4th place ranking thus far.
As Official Partner of Artemis Racing, Ulysse Nardin also took the opportunity to introduce the sailing community to its new Marine Diver Artemis Racing nautical watch. Like the brand’s famed Marine Diver watches, the 44m timepiece features a unidirectional bezel and is water resistant to 300 meters. It also offers small seconds, date window, power reserve indicator and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal – all powered by the automatic UN-26 movement.
What makes the watch truly special, however, is the stunning blue and yellow Artemis Team colors for rubber strap and dial, the alluring blue dial with blue catamarans in tone on tone motif, and the engraved caseback with team logo, boat and “Challenger 35th America’s Cup” verbiage. Just 250 pieces will be made. Stop by anytime to see our wide variety of Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver watches.
