Introducing The Greubel Forsey Signature 1
We are thrilled to carry the independent watch brand Greubel Forsey, a company that just keeps on innovating. At the recent SIHH show, we got a chance to see the Signature 1, a time-only watch (with hours, minutes and seconds) that was six years in the making.
The watch is the first in a new "Signature" series — a line that is designed to let the brand's watchmakers execute their personal ideas and bring them to fruition (not to mention that their names will be on the caliber and dial).
This first version is the result of Greubel Forsey's master watchmaker, Didier Cretin, who developed the new in-house balance wheel system that is simply stunning. The watch is also a milestone for the brand in that it is the first time Greubel Forsey will build a timepiece in steel. Just 33 will be made in steel (and another 11 each will be made in rose gold, white gold and platinum).
