While there are a number of elements taken from the famous Bovet pocket watches of the 19th century, Swiss timepiece manufacture Bovet has evolved into a completely different animal under the tenure of its current owner, Pascal Raffy.

These timepieces, which are often double sided and convertible to a pocket watch, desk clock, or in some cases, a pendant necklace, possess some of the most daring architecture in Switzerland. Tourbillon carriages are seemingly suspended in air, indications are dramatically domed, and in the case of the remarkable Recital pieces, movements are built with a stunning visible depth and unique slanted case. It is small wonder that the Bovet Recital 22 Grand Recital was the recipient of Swiss watchmaking’s highest honor, the coveted Aiguille d’Or at the Geneva Grand Prix.

The House of Bovet offers remarkable depth of complications and designs, from its ongoing collaboration with Pininfarina that has yielded sporty yet highly sophisticated timepieces, to complicated yet feminine models like the oval Miss Alexandra with its moonphase dial, and the fanciful Miss Audrey Sweet Art, which boasts a dial dial composed of pure sugar crystals.

Discover a range of remarkable Swiss made Bovet timepieces at the Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry timepiece boutique in Menlo Park.
