Working independently of the hour hand, the GMT hand spins around the dial displaying a second time zone as it points to the 24-hour scale on the bi-directional rotating bezel. Not only does the bezel enable the reading of the second time zone, but it can also show a third as rotating it clockwise subtracts hours and counter-clockwise adds hours.
