Inspired by the 1980's Miami Vice new wave aesthetics, the UR-220 Red Gold's stark gold and white contrast brings back the nostalgia of the era. It bears the "oil change" feature, one of Urwerk's hallmarks, in the form of a digital gauge as a vintage callback. The wandering hours, part of Urwerk's patented revolving satellite complication, are situated on three rotating satellite cubes in a retrograde minute display and a double coaxial star-shaped cam regulates the entire retrograde mechanism. Two power reserve indicators, on the left and right sides, indicate the mainspring's state of wind, with the left indicator taking over after the right is full. Martin Frei completely redesigned the typography of the hour-markers for a sharper profile. Limited to less than 12 pieces.
