New MB&F LAB Silicon Valley Boutique Now Open at The Villa Menlo Park
MB&F LAB, Presented in Partnership with Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, Brings Ultra-Rare Collectible Timepieces and Conceptual Art Objects to Silicon Valley.
Menlo Park, CA (January 30, 2025) - World-renowned Swiss watchmaker MB&F has planted a flag at The Villa Menlo Park – Silicon Valley’s new cultural hub and destination for world-class experiences. Now open at 500 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, California, the MB&F LAB Silicon Valley boutique invites visitors to experience one of the most extensive collections of avant-garde MB&F horological creations to be found in North America, including complex timepieces, conceptual desk clocks, and mechanical sculptures – in one of the world’s only MB&F LABs.
MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser joined Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry president Jared Silver, collectors, clients, and friends for the intimate ribbon-cutting opening event on January 23, 2025. The momentous opening event also marked the Swiss watch brand’s 20th anniversary and its two decades of unbridled creativity, daring designs, and innovations that have forever changed – and challenged – the global watch industry.
According to Jared Silver, "From the beginning, it was clear that this radical, forward-thinking independent brand, MB&F, belonged in the most innovative part of the world- Silicon Valley – and at The Villa Menlo Park. The company's ethos shines through in every single creation, and their emphasis on collaboration and appetite for risk are valued greatly here in Silicon Valley."
The retail boutique offers one of the world’s largest selections of rare and collectible MB&F timepieces and conceptual art clocks to be found in a single location, including an 18-piece limited edition Silicon Valley LAB exclusive edition of the Legacy Machine Perpetual EVO, recently developed with longtime retail partner and Villa Menlo Park developer, Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry.

Maximilian Büsser remarked, “This is the fifth MB&F LAB in the world after Paris, Singapore, Taipei, and Los Angeles: a testament to how important Silicon Valley collectors have become for our brand. On one hand, there is a natural symbiosis between this part of the world, so driven by technology and innovation, and our out-of-the-box thinking and highly complex engineering. I think that connection resonates even deeper thanks to something more unexpected: the traditional, hand-finished artisanship that we put into our watchmaking, offering a welcome dose of humanity in the very high-tech universe of Silicon Valley.”
Jared and Stephen Silver were among the first retailers in the United States to specialize in independent watchmakers, and as pioneers in this category. In 2015, they met with Maximilian Büsser in Switzerland to discuss a partnership. The brand has been a major fixture of the Menlo Park luxury retailer’s curated timepiece collection ever since.
Fittingly, the MB&F LAB Silicon Valley is the first mono-brand retail store to open its doors at The Villa Menlo Park, a mixed-use development spearheaded by Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry with the vision to create a new cultural hub for Silicon Valley. Designed as a destination where the community can connect, play, and explore, The Villa Menlo Park offers a range of quietly sophisticated experiences including retail stores, restaurant partners, and communal events. The MB&F LAB Silicon Valley occupies the ground floor of the property, and the store is open to the public via walk-in or private appointment, from Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
