Richard Mille Unveils New RM 11-03 At Chantilly Arts & Elegance Event
Last weekend at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille event in Chantilly, France, the brand unveiled its all new RM 11-03 watch — the first to take the place of the now-retired RM 011 timepiece that enjoyed a successful nine-year run.
According to Mille, it was time to revamp the icon and give it a more modern flair. The new RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph is powered by an all-new caliber, the RMAC3 with flyback chronograph, annual calendar and oversized date indication. While the watch won't be in stores for a while, it is a fine representation of the Richard Mille standards.
The tonneau-shaped case with brushed finish done entirely by hand will be offered in gold, gold and titanium and titanium. The design is indicative of the brand's love of automobiles, with wheel rims on the crown, gas and brake pedal imagery on the pushers and tire tread strap. As with all Richard Mille timepieces, the watch is made of high-tech materials borrowed from the world of Formula 1 racing and perfected for watchmaking.
