The H. Moser & Cie. Boutique at The Villa Menlo Park Puts a Spotlight on Color

Many of you who attended the grand opening of H. Moser’s first North American boutique at The Villa Menlo Park were struck by the dramatic breadth of the watches on offer. While some of these pieces were specially brought in by H. Moser’s management, including CEO Edouard Meylan, for the event, the boutique continues to have an extensive selection to choose from, especially in the wake of the brand’s most recent launches. The most powerful impression the Moser collection makes is through its use of color—color that defies the norms of the watch industry and that has created a signature for the brand among collectors.

This ethos is never better exemplified than in the three just-launched Pioneer Spiced Aqua models. A skeleton tourbillon, tourbillon and center-seconds model each feature a striking combination of orange and aqua dials, with equally striking doses of SuperLuminova for nighttime flamboyance. While these models have not yet landed, interest is already strong and we recommend contacting the boutique to inquire about allocations.
A similar level of demand has been experienced in the new Pop collection unveiled at the year’s Watches and Wonders. Moser’s approach to this collection was a highly exclusive one. The color combinations were largely achieved with the tones of rare semi-precious stones, including jade, coral and lapis lazuli. The offering is further limited as a set of 28 pieces for each model. Vibrant color has long been an attribute of H. Moser timepieces, but the Pop collection takes the brand’s design into new realms through striking combinations.

Recently the Pop watches that have come through the boutique have not stayed long due to pre-sales. The boutique contains many examples of H. Moser’s remarkable use of color nonetheless. Our Streamliner models on a bracelet in particular are available in a number of interesting executions. Some of the tourbillons in this collection are available with gem-set bezels in expertly graduated rainbow sapphires. One of our rose gold models contrasts this blaze of color with the color vacuum of a Vantablack dial. Another rose gold tourbillon features an exquisite and highly rare dial in complex Wyoming jade. Even H. Moser’s most complicated creation, the Endeavor Tourbillon Minute Repeater features a hand-hammered dial with Grand Feu enamel in lustrous blue. We invite you to experience these colors (along with the minute repeater’s truly world-class sound) on your next visit to the Villa Menlo Park.
