Hermes Brings Artistic Watches To New Heights
At Baselworld this year, Hermes had plenty to talk about. The brand unveiled a host of stunning new artistically inspired watches that quite literally can take your breath away. One such piece is the new Slim D'Hermes Mille Fleurs du Mexique watch. Designed to demonstrate the brand's artistic prowess, the timepiece features a miniature painting in mosaic style against a backdrop of mother of pearl. Inspired by an Hermes silk scarf designed by Laetitia Bianchi (a Mexican graphic designer), the watch is offered in a limited edition of just six pieces.
Created in 18-karat white gold, the watch features a dial on which Hermes’ artisans painstakingly apply up to 20 layers of paint, each of which is individually fired.
