Liquid Time Just Got Better: Introducing The Hyt H3
One of the unique watch brands in our watch boutique at the Rosewood Hotel is HYT — Hydro-Mechanical Timepieces. Essentially, these watches indicated the time using liquid. The revolutionary brand, which made its debut three years ago, has since undergone multiple innovations and variations. The newest piece, being officially unveiled to the world at BaselWorld 2015 in two weeks, is the HYT H3 watch with a linear indication of time. We bring you a sneak peak at that watch here — though, keep in mind, we won't have it in stores until later this year.
While the previous generations of HYT watches are round, the new version is rectangular and features a two-tiered case wherein the time indication is linear. The wearer simply presses a button to learn the time. Essentially two bellows inject different fluids into thin capillary that moves the fluid to the correct hour indication. The concept was challenging, and the results are stellar — yielding some of the most intriguing and unusual timepieces on the market. Stop in any time to see our selection of HYT watches — with liquid time indication.
