Bovet
While there are a number of elements taken from the famous Bovet pocket watches of the 19th century, Bovet has evolved into a completely different animal under the tenure of its current owner, Pascal Raffy. These watches, which are often double sided and convertible to a pocket watch or desk clock, possess some of the most daring architecture in Switzerland. Tourbillon carriages are seemingly suspended in air, indications are dramatically domed, and in the case of the remarkable Recital pieces, movements are built with a stunning visible depth. It is small wonder that the latest Recital 22 Grand Recital is the recipient of Swiss watchmaking’s highest honor, the coveted Aiguille d’Or at the Geneva Grand Prix.
